What is a Winter Rosé?

It’s a Rosé that has been specifically crafted for those who love Rosé but feel as though they are missing out during winter when it is too cold to be drinking a chilled Rosé. It’s typically more common to consume room temperature red wines during winter, and chilled whites or Rosé’s during summer – but Rosé’s made for winter aren’t too common.  Thus, this rose is designed to be consumed at room temperature. This means changing the resulting wine so that it has volume, texture and warmth when consumed at a warmer temperature.

What’s the deal with the paintings?

Once a name was settled on, the idea of this small batch Rosé trying to earn a spot as a commonly drunk wine during the winter conjured images of this small soldier facing off against the bigger foes that generally dominate winter – red wines. The paintings display a journey through winter, where our hero, the Winter Solider, faces off against the red wines (represented by the titans) and struggles to find a place in the cold weather.

Why is it different every year?

This is a winemaking journey to discover what works best as a Winter Rosé, therefore each year the wine is made in a different way. With the wine being different every year, it made sense to make the paintings portray a journey. The journey would also show the improvement in Brads art skills as he self learns from wannabe artist to… hopefully a better wannabe artist.
